About Us
At Gavin Palin Funeral Services we are committed to be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year covering all areas including Nantwich, Crewe and surrounding areas. We are here whether it be to answer any questions over the phone, to provide our personal and professional service, to attend a sudden death, to convey your loved one to our private chapel of rest or to meet a family or individuals at a place of your own choice or at our funeral home in Nantwich.
Our funeral home is always available and open to walk in during the day (9am - 4pm, Monday - Friday) and any other time by appointment including weekends. We are the only funeral directors with a private chapel of rest here in Nantwich and you can visit your loved one any time of the day or night and spend as much time as you wish.
Our experience allows us to offer you information and advice regarding funeral arrangements and what to do in the event of a death. We are here to guide you through every step of your bereavement and to ensure that the funeral arrangements meet your loved ones wishes.
Our services can include, organising a time and day for the service to take place, Booking a church or crematorium chapel for a service followed by a burial or cremation as the family wishes, providing a religious minister or a non religious celebrant and also organising funeral cars for the day, Arranging floral tributes, visits to see your loved ones at our private Chapel of Rest, organising headstones, memorial plots and the return of ashes to the family or internment in a place of your own choice.
Our family business has recently become part of the "Creating A Dementia Friendly Nantwich Scheme". Each member of our team have taken part in a session, talking about the effects dementia has on our loved ones themselves and you as their family, and we have a greater understanding of this illness and are fully aware of what we can do to help in raising the awareness of Dementia to others. We are very proud to be a Dementia Friendly Family Funeral Service here in Nantwich.
Meet Our Team
Gavin Palin
Gavin established the family business in 2009, driven by his long-standing ambition to become a Funeral Director. Together with his wife, Paula, he took the next step in his journey by opening Gavin Palin Funeral Services.
With a caring, professional and personal approach, Gavin and his dedicated team are committed to helping families arrange a funeral that is as unique and individual as your loved one. Gavin understands how important it is to honour every life and ensure that all wishes and requirements are carefully considered.
From the initial arrangements through to the day of the funeral, Gavin and his team are there to guide and support you every step of the way, providing compassion, reassurance and personal attention when it matters most.
Paula Palin
Paula, Gavin’s wife, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in caring for your loved one. Her gentle manner, sensitivity and compassion are invaluable in supporting families through their bereavement.
Paula leads our team in welcoming family and friends to the funeral service, ensuring that every detail is carefully managed and that those first important moments are handled with warmth, dignity and care, ready for the arrival of your loved one.
Max Kelly
Max has been part of our family business since we opened in 2009, beginning his journey with us as a casual member of staff. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience across all aspects of the funeral profession, from funeral service administration and personal care to funeral directing.
Max is dedicated to supporting families during their most difficult times, ensuring that every funeral is carried out with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion, while being carefully tailored to the individual wishes and requirements of each family.
Max manages all aspects of our family-run funeral business. His wealth of experience, dedication and genuine commitment to the families we serve shine through in everything he does.
Jordan Palin
Jordan joined the team in 2018 and has been an integral part of our family business ever since. He plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of service we pride ourselves on, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring our fleet of vehicles is kept in immaculate executive condition.
Jordan’s exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence extend across every aspect of the business. Although he may not always be at the forefront, his contribution is invaluable. He is very much a driving force behind the scenes, helping us deliver the quality, professionalism and service our families have come to expect from us.
Jamie Sutton
Jamie joined our team in December 2025 and takes great pride in his role as a Funeral Service Operative. He is dedicated to ensuring that daily duties are carried out with precision, care and attention to detail.
Jamie is also responsible for managing our fleet of funeral vehicles, ensuring they are maintained and presented to the highest standards. As part of his role, Jamie provides personal care for your loved one with dignity, compassion and respect.
You will also likely see Jamie when arriving at venues such as churches and crematoria, where he warmly welcomes and guides family members and friends attending the service, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Our Facilities
In May 2023, we ventured in to expanding our business and the perfect building for us, but most of all for our families became available. Following 14 months of hard work from our team and renovations, we moved to our new funeral home in August 2024.
Our funeral home, situated in beautiful Nantwich, has a welcoming reception area, in this area there are lots of items on display from memorial Jewellery to scatter tube and casket selection, to general important information for you following the loss of a loved one. A warm arrangement room where we can make traditional, bespoke and personal arrangements for a funeral or just simply to have a chat with a cup of tea or coffee. We also have a private family room accompanied with a private Chapel of Rest, this is your space for as long as you like whilst visiting your loved one in our care. This space is really important to us to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease during what is going to be a difficult time for you, we know this time is special to you.
